Caregiver Core Training is a 24-hour training that all new foster families in Washington state must complete as part of the requirements to become licensed. The training is open to foster, adoptive, relative/kinship families, and respite providers who are seeking licensure in Washington State.

Some of the topics covered in the training will include: how children enter care, child development; attachment, loss, and grief; behavior management; adoption; and how foster care might impact your family. The training is made up of eight sessions which are spread over the four days of training with a break for a field experience after the first two days.

*Please note that this training requires you to be present for four full days: 11/9/18, 11/30/18, 12/1/18 and 12/14/18.
